The municipal thermal bath opened its doors on July 15, 1962. Its existence is thanks to the thermal healing water at a temperature of 67 °C, emerging from a depth of 1019 m. The composition of the water rivals that of the healing water in Hajdúszoboszló.
The bathing area covers an area of 14 hectares and, thanks to the abundance of greenery, is popular among guests who prefer relaxation and healing. The bathing area underwent extensive reconstruction in 2003, making it one of the most modern bathing facilities in eastern Hungary.

The thermal water was recognized as healing in 1989. The water, of iodine-bromine character, contains a high concentration of salts. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of rheumatic diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and women's health issues.
